About DASH & the role

DASH (www.dashrides.com) is a high-growth tech startup in the employee benefits space, on a mission to get more people cycling.

We’ve reinvented the UK’s Cycle-to-Work scheme, turning a forgotten perk into a benefit employees actively ask for. Our platform brings together thousands of products from across the cycling industry, price-matches them and lets employees pay directly from salary, saving up to 47%.

We’ve grown more than 4X in the past 12 months and recently launched DASH Flex, a virtual card unlocking the same savings across Lime, Forest, Voi and more.

We’re a team of eight: ambitious, fast-moving and determined to win.

This is a rare product role working directly with the founders. You’ll ship quickly, see your work used by thousands of customers and learn more about building a startup in three months than many people do in three years.

What you’ll do

There's a lot to build, and the role will not only grow with you, but push you to reach your potential. You'll work on projects from inception to launch:

  • Design and launch new features.
  • UI/UX work across the DASH platform.
  • User testing and customer conversations.
  • Using AI to prototype faster, improve internal workflows and build better customer experiences.
  • Writing specs for our developers.
  • Designing and building landing pages and internal dashboards.
  • Data analytics - how are customers using our products, and what could we do better?
  • + so much more.

About you (this is really important)

We’re looking for someone exceptional that wants to work at a startup.

  • High agency: the big one. You don't wait to be told what to do. You spot problems, form a view, and get stuck in.
  • You love unsolved problems: Much of what we're building has no template. Form a view, test it, adjust.
  • An eye for design: You can turn payroll, tax and finance into interfaces people actually understand (Figma).
  • Data over opinions: Your instinct is to look at how customers actually behave before deciding.
  • AI-native: You're already experimenting with tools like Claude Code or similar, and are excited by how AI is changing the way products are built.
  • Good communicator - clear, concise & friendly.
  • Not afraid to speak up. When you don’t know something, or you disagree with an approach to something, your comfortable saying so, and confidently explaining your reasoning
  • Passionate about delivering a world-class user experience.
  • Comfortable with change. Eight people, fast-moving. Month six won't look like month one.

Requirements

  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Willingness to work from our London office five days a week.

This is a highly collaborative, hands-on role. We want to teach you everything we know, give you close access to the founders and help you get to the top of your game. We believe the best way to do that is by working together in person.

Compensation & benefits

  • £28,000–£32,000 base salary.
  • 28 days’ holiday
  • Cycle to Work through DASH
  • Free team lunches.
  • Regular team socials.

How we hire and how to stand out

  1. Intro call (10 mins) - A brief chat to understand why you’ve applied and learn what your CV doesn’t say about you.
  2. Practical chat (30mins) - We’ll spend 10mins covering a practical exercise which will require a small amount of preparation from you (we’ll give you a simple brief well in advance).
  3. Final meet (30 mins, London) - Meet the founders and the wider team in person. Fit matters, and it works both ways, you're interviewing us too.

Apply

Email: careers@dashrides.com

Subject: “Product – [Your Name]”

Send us your CV, plus the bit we care about most: show us something you've built. A side project, an app, a newsletter, anything you made because you wanted it to exist. Include a link and a few lines on why you built it and what you'd do differently now.

No cover letter needed. The thing you built tells us more.

If you're excited but a little scared to apply because you don't think you have it all - research shows that some people are less likely to apply to a job unless they meet every single criterion. At DASH, we're committed to building diverse teams, so we'd encourage you to apply even if your past experience doesn't align perfectly with the requirements.
